Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she turned an adult because of the impact stress might have on their daughter. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred from Boston University. Perry was able to land minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, brought her to California again where she began to work in the stage. She appeared on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. She performed with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017 she had an recurring role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal starring her father. In the same year, the actress was selected to play a young model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young model of the mother's. The character was picked via auditions having a strong connection with it.
