Ina Garden is a famous American book author, who has won Emmy awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. The show will run for another 27 seasons. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget reports. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual challenge of the job, but quickly stopped her interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular before selling it off and picking up the pen to begin writing her first cookbook. Several other books and newspaper articles were published. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. The company also offers a wide range of items ranging from cooking materials to storage and equipment. Ina is a self-taught cook that hasn't attended a cooking school or been in an kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual way of cooking and entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet with Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Mac, Beef Bourguignon and cheese paired with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
