Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul singer actor and songwriter. She is the recipient of many awards, including the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra Day is an imposing musician and artist who does not just play throwback R&B expert. Her roots in gospel and blues that she sings with ease and finesse translate to the modern day. Cheers to the Fall (2015) her debut album that was a huge success reached the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and opened the door to a handful of Grammy nominations, as well as one Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her performance on the soundtrack of Marshall receiving both awards. Amen (2018), Then Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) as well as her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States vs. Billie Holiday 2021) All of these have contributed to the anticipation for her next album. Andra is born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. After growing up with her family in San Diego and surrounding areas She began singing in churches and then enrolled at The School of Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating from the school she leaned toward the newer styles of R&B and pop music, but ultimately was drawn back to jazz classics and soul vocalists she was exposed to when she was young. The album was released in 2019 and she has her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the famous jazz musician. The actress also appeared in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi Matichak was an American actor. Her first appearance was on television series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before launching her film debut in the role of Allyson Nelson in the horror film series Halloween and the sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Mass.
