Lisa Olivia Munn is a native of Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese roots, but her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from the Southern part of the family. Her parents divorced when she was age two. She was raised by her mother who was as a pilot in the United States Air Force, and her stepfather. Olivia was primarily raised in Tokyo and Japan. Although the family moved out of Oklahoma to various other locations, it was it in Tokyo which she completed the bulk of her education. In the years that followed, she appeared in various local theater productions, and then was a model for the Japanese fashion industry. As the family retreated to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress. Following a series of minor performances, Olivia achieved success after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua in the Hawaii filming of the TV program Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She is the host of "The Daily Nut" and the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. Surfing is her passion and she has been practicing since her TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Additionally, she holds a black belt in taekwondo. When she was two years old, her mother got married again but this time to an officer in the US Air Force. They have relocated several times, but she lived the majority of her life in Tokyo Japan due to the fact that it was the location where her father was stationed. The university she attended was the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalist with minors of Japanese and drama art.
